The Legacy Night Raises 5 Million for the Poor

On August 24, 2024, The Legacy Night charity event achieved a remarkable success, raising 5 million for the Archbishop of Lipa Trust Fund for the Poor. Fifteen dedicated individuals came together to support this noble cause, underscoring their commitment to helping those in need.

The event featured a presentation by Rev. Fr. Jayson Siapco, who highlighted the profound impact of the Trust Fund on families in the peripheries. His presentation illustrated how the fund not only benefits the poor today but will continue to make a difference even beyond a lifetime—a testament to a legacy that endures forever.

Archbishop Most Rev. Gilbert Garcera expressed his deepest gratitude to the attendees, referring to them as ‘Friends of Jesus’ for their unwavering support of the poor. He reiterated that they should continue being channels of blessings from their Friend, who is Jesus. He acknowledged their role in the ongoing mission to uplift those in need.

In appreciation for their contributions the ‘Friends of Jesus’ received special gifts from the Archbishop—a tangible symbol of the Archdiocese’s gratitude for their commitment to improving the lives of the less fortunate.
